Hammond PCJ664CCHF 6x6x4 in Type 4X Polycarbonate Box, Clear Cover, Flange

The PCJ664CCHF is a Type 4X polycarbonate junction box in the 6 x 6 x 4 in nominal size, fitted with a hinged, screw-fastened clear cover and polycarbonate flanges. The clear lid leaves the contents visible with the cover closed; the light gray body and the cover are both injected polycarbonate. It is designed to insulate and protect controls and components in indoor and outdoor conditions, with applications that include industrial pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plants.

At 5.93 in (151 mm) high, 6.16 in (156 mm) wide and 3.98 in (101 mm) deep, this 6 x 6 x 4 in nominal size keeps a small footprint on the wall. Inside, threaded brass inserts accept the optional PCJR0505 inner panel, a 4.81 in x 4.81 in (122 mm x 122 mm) plate offered on the drawing in 0.100 in (2.54 mm) aluminum or 0.075 in (1.91 mm) white steel. A closed cell neoprene gasket seals the cover, which swings on a stainless steel hinge pin and closes with two stainless steel captive cover screws into #10-32 brass inserts.

For wall or panel mounting, the PCJ664CCHF carries two polycarbonate flanges (glued) with 8X R.170 in (4.32 mm) slots; the drawing gives an overall height of 7.63 in across the flanges, with slot centers 6.75 to 6.88 in apart vertically and 4.00 in horizontally. The flanges fix with #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel screws, and mounting hardware is included.

Across the PCJ series the enclosure is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) listed as Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with the same NEMA Types, and is rated IP66 per IEC 60529, V-0 per UL 94 and UV (f1) per UL746C. It operates from -35°C to 130°C (-31°F to 266°F), has a 16 J (12 ft/lb) impact index, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Shipping weight is 4 lbs (1.81 kg).
