Hammond PCJ443H 4x4x3 in Solid Cover Polycarbonate Box, Feet

The PCJ443H is a compact Type 4X polycarbonate junction box with a solid hinged screw cover and polycarbonate mounting feet. Its nominal 4 in x 4 in x 3 in (102 mm x 102 mm x 76 mm) size, with a 3.95 in x 3.95 in x 3.31 in (100 x 100 x 84 mm) enclosure, gives electricians and OEM engineers a small non-metallic box for terminations and controls in indoor or outdoor locations such as pump controls, waste water, irrigation, solar/wind and chemical plant installations.

Box and standard cover are injected polycarbonate in a light gray finish, easily punched, cut, or drilled for fittings. The cover swings on a molded hinge with a 316 stainless steel hinge pin, and the drawing shows an FIP polyurethane gasket; the series specifies a captive oil resistant gasket for a positive seal and 316 stainless steel screw fasteners. Four polycarbonate feet attach with 316 stainless steel flange and feet screws, and the wall thickness is .14 in (3.68 mm).

Threaded brass inserts accept the optional PCJR0303 inner panel (3.56 in x 3.56 in, 90 x 90 mm), shown in aluminum 0.100 in, white steel 0.075 in or PVC 0.188 in thickness, fastened with four 316 stainless steel panel screws. Enhanced UV inhibitors and a UV (f1) rating per UL746C protect it outdoors, with an operating range of 130°C to -35°C (266°F to -31°F) and an impact index of 16 J (12 ft/lb).

The PCJ Series is listed to UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66, and is V-0 per UL 94. The PCJ443H is RoHS and REACH compliant, ships at 2 lbs (0.91 kg), and carries UPC 623980434513.
