Hammond PCJ201610 20x16x10 Polycarbonate Junction Box with Mounting Feet

The PCJ201610 is the largest solid-cover, feet-mounted size in the PCJ Series of Type 4X polycarbonate junction boxes. With a nominal 20 x 16 x 10 in (508 x 406 x 254 mm) footprint and a lift-off screw cover, it gives panel builders and electricians room for controls and components that must be insulated and protected indoors or outdoors, such as pump controls, irrigation systems, waste water equipment and solar/wind installations.

Box and cover are injection moulded polycarbonate thermoplastic in a light gray finish with enhanced UV inhibitors, and the material can be punched, cut or drilled on site. The drawing shows a 0.24 in (6.09 mm) wall thickness. The cover is fastened by four #10-32 brass inserts with 316 stainless steel captive cover screws and sealed with a FIP polyurethane gasket.

Four polycarbonate feet, each secured with #10-32 brass inserts and 316 stainless steel feet screws, provide the mounting points; the drawing gives four 0.32 in (8.17 mm) mounting holes. The PCJ series is rated UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with IEC 60529 IP66, is flammability V-0 per UL 94, carries a UL746C f1 UV rating and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Operating temperature runs from 130°C down to -35°C (266°F to -31°F).
