Hammond PCJ181610CC 18x16x10 Clear Cover Type 4X Junction Box, Feet

The PCJ181610CC is a Type 4X polycarbonate junction box from the PCJ Series with a lift-off screw cover in clear polycarbonate. It is an 18 x 16 x 10 in nominal enclosure measuring 18.04 x 16.04 in with a 9.81 in body depth. The series is designed to insulate and protect controls and components in both indoor and outdoor conditions, and is aimed at industrial pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plant applications.

The box is injection moulded polycarbonate in a light gray finish and the matching cover is injection moulded clear polycarbonate, so the interior can be seen with the cover in place. The cover lifts off completely and is held by 4 stainless steel screws; the drawing calls out (4) #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-ring and a fip polyurethane foam gasket. Enhanced UV inhibitors protect against outdoor weathering, and the series lists an impact index of 16 J (12 ft/lb) and operating temperatures from 130°C down to -35°C (266°F to -31°F).

For surface mounting, this version is fitted with 4 polycarbonate mounting feet with 0.32 in (8.17 mm) mounting holes, fastened with (4) #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel flange and feet screws. If you prefer mounting flanges, the equivalent is PCJ181610CCF. Threaded brass inserts are provided for optional inner panel or terminal kit mounting, and mounting hardware is included. The P1868 optional inner panel for this size measures 16.88 x 14.88 in.

The PCJ Series complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, IEC 60529 IP66, carries a V-0 flammability rating per UL 94 and a UV rating (f1) per UL746C. The PCJ181610CC is RoHS and REACH compliant and has a shipping weight of 10 lbs (4.54 kg).
