Hammond PCJ16148F 16x14x8 Type 4X Polycarbonate Junction Box, Flange

The PCJ16148F is a Type 4X polycarbonate junction box from the PCJ Series with a lift-off screw cover in solid light gray polycarbonate. It is a 16 x 14 x 8 in nominal enclosure measuring 15.98 x 13.98 in with a 7.81 in body depth. The series is designed to insulate and protect controls and components in both indoor and outdoor conditions, and is aimed at industrial pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plant applications.

The body and matching solid cover are injection moulded polycarbonate thermoplastic in a light gray finish that is easily punched, cut or drilled. The lift-off cover is fixed with 4 stainless steel screws; the drawing calls out (4) #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel captive cover screws with retaining O-ring and a fip polyurethane foam gasket. Enhanced UV inhibitors protect against outdoor weathering, and the series lists an impact index of 16 J (12 ft/lb) and operating temperatures from 130°C down to -35°C (266°F to -31°F).

For surface mounting, this version is fitted with 2 glued-on polycarbonate flanges with 0.32 in (8.2 mm) mounting holes. If you prefer mounting feet, the equivalent is PCJ16148. Threaded brass inserts are provided for optional inner panel or terminal kit mounting, and mounting hardware is included. It takes the 14R1513 optional inner panel, which measures 14.75 x 12.88 in.

The PCJ Series complies with NEMA Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, IEC 60529 IP66, carries a V-0 flammability rating per UL 94 and a UV rating (f1) per UL746C. The PCJ16148F is RoHS and REACH compliant and has a shipping weight of 8 lbs (3.63 kg).
