Hammond PCJ12126CCHF 12x12x6 Clear Cover Hinged Polycarbonate Box, Flanged

The Hammond PCJ12126CCHF is a Type 4X polycarbonate junction box from the PCJ Series with a hinged screw cover, a clear polycarbonate cover and polycarbonate flanges for mounting. It is designed to insulate and protect controls and components indoors or outdoors, in settings such as pump controls, waste water, irrigation and solar/wind sites.

The 12 x 12 x 6 inch nominal body gives a square front with the same 5.98 in enclosure depth as the 12 x 10 box. The ordering table lists the enclosure at 11.92 in (303 mm) high, 12.16 in (309 mm) wide and 5.98 in (152 mm) deep (nominal size 12 in x 12 in x 6 in (305 mm x 305 mm x 152 mm)), and the matching optional inner panel, part no. PCJR1111, measures 10.75 in (273 mm) x 10.88 in (276 mm). The drawing calls out a wall thickness of 0.14 in (3.68 mm). Shipping weight is 10 lbs (4.54 kg).

Box and cover are injected polycarbonate that is easily punched, cut or drilled, with enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering. The polycarbonate body has a light gray finish. The clear cover allows a view of the contents without opening the box. The cover is secured by (2) #10-32 brass inserts and 316 stainless steel captive cover screws and seals against a FIP polyurethane gasket; the hinge is specified as 316 stainless steel hinge pin.

For installation, this model ships with (2) polycarbonate flange secured with (4) #10-32 brass inserts and 316 stainless steel flange screws. Inside, (4) #10-32 brass inserts and plated carbon steel screws are provided for mounting the optional back panel, which the drawing shows in 0.100 in (2.54 mm) aluminum, 0.075 in (1.91 mm) white steel or 0.188 in (4.78 mm) PVC.

Series standards: UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, IEC 60529 IP66, V-0 per UL 94 and UV (f1) per UL746C. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant; operating range is -35 °C to 130 °C (-31 °F to 266 °F).
