Hammond PCJ12106HF 12x10x6 Hinged Polycarbonate Junction Box, Flange Mount

The Hammond PCJ12106HF is a Type 4X polycarbonate junction box from the PCJ Series with a hinged screw cover, a solid polycarbonate cover and polycarbonate flanges for mounting. It is designed to insulate and protect controls and components indoors or outdoors, in settings such as pump controls, waste water, irrigation and solar/wind sites.

At 12 x 10 x 6 inches nominal it is a mid-size box in the hinged screw-cover range, rectangular with a 5.98 in depth. The ordering table lists the enclosure at 11.92 in (303 mm) high, 10.15 in (258 mm) wide and 5.98 in (152 mm) deep (nominal size 12 in x 10 in x 6 in (305 mm x 254 mm x 152 mm)), and the matching optional inner panel, part no. PCJR1109, measures 10.75 in (273 mm) x 8.88 in (226 mm). Shipping weight is 6 lbs (2.72 kg).

Box and cover are injected polycarbonate that is easily punched, cut or drilled, with enhanced UV inhibitors against outdoor weathering. The polycarbonate has a light gray finish. The cover is secured by (2) #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel captive cover screws and seals against a closed cell neoprene gasket; the hinge is specified as stainless steel hinge pin.

For installation, this model ships with (4) polycarbonate flanges (glued) secured with (4) #10-32 brass inserts and stainless steel flange and feet screws. Inside, (4) #10-32 brass inserts and plated carbon steel truss screw are provided for mounting the optional back panel, which the drawing shows in 0.100 in (2.54 mm) aluminum or 0.075 in (1.91 mm) white steel.

Series standards: UL 508A and cUL Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, IEC 60529 IP66, V-0 per UL 94 and UV (f1) per UL746C. The part is RoHS and REACH compliant; operating range is -35 °C to 130 °C (-31 °F to 266 °F).
