Hammond PCJ1086CCH 10x8x6 in Type 4X Polycarbonate Box, Clear Cover, Feet

The PCJ1086CCH is a Type 4X polycarbonate junction box in the 10 x 8 x 6 in nominal size, fitted with a hinged, screw-fastened clear cover and polycarbonate mounting feet. The clear lid leaves the contents visible with the cover closed; the light gray body and the cover are both injected polycarbonate. It is designed to insulate and protect controls and components in indoor and outdoor conditions, with applications that include industrial pump controls, waste water, irrigation control, solar/wind and chemical plants.

At 9.93 in (252 mm) high, 8.15 in (207 mm) wide and 5.98 in (152 mm) deep, the 10 x 8 x 6 in size adds 2 in of nominal depth over the 10 x 8 x 4 in version on the same footprint and inner panel. The drawing lists a .16 in (3.96 mm) wall thickness, a FIP polyurethane gasket, a 316 stainless steel hinge pin and 316 stainless steel captive cover screws. The optional PCJR0907 inner panel, 8.75 in x 6.88 in (222 mm x 175 mm), is shown in 0.100 in (2.54 mm) aluminum, 0.075 in (1.91 mm) white steel or 0.188 in (4.78 mm) PVC, mounted on four #10-32 brass inserts with plated carbon steel truss screws.

Mounting is by four polycarbonate mounting feet fixed with 316 stainless steel flange and feet screws into #10-32 brass inserts. The drawing shows four .32 in (8.17 mm) mounting holes at 10.75 in (273.04 mm) by 6.91 in (175.45 mm) centers, and mounting hardware is included.

Across the PCJ series the enclosure is UL 508A and cUL (CSA 22.2 No. 94) listed as Type 1, 2, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13, complies with the same NEMA Types, and is rated IP66 per IEC 60529, V-0 per UL 94 and UV (f1) per UL746C. It operates from -35°C to 130°C (-31°F to 266°F), has a 16 J (12 ft/lb) impact index, and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Shipping weight is 6 lbs (2.72 kg).
