Hammond PBPS19003BK 2U Solid Steel Rack Blanking Panel, Matte Black

The PBPS19003BK is a 2U solid steel rack blanking panel finished in RAL9005 matte black, made to cover unused rack space in a standard 19 in EIA-compliant rack. It is intended for data center, telecom, network and AV installers who need to close off open rack units so conditioned air is forced through equipment instead of recirculating around it.

Construction is 14-gauge mild steel (0.072 in) with a smooth powder coat finish, giving a rigid, flat panel that will not flex or rattle in service. The powder coat is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, and the part is RoHS, REACH and USMCA compliant, TAA-compliant, and manufactured in North America (country of origin: CA) in an ISO 9001 certified facility.

This 2U size measures 3.50 in (89 mm) high with a 19.00 in (483 mm) overall width across the mounting flanges and an 18.32 in (465 mm) panel body width. Mounting uses four 0.250 x 0.375 in slots — four mounting points total — which line up with standard EIA rack rail hole patterns. Shipping weight is 1.38 lbs (0.63 kg). Mounting hardware is not included, so specify rack screws or cage nut hardware to suit your rails.

Because the panel is solid with no perforations or vents, PBPS19003BK supports front-to-rear cooling schemes and hot aisle / cold aisle containment strategies by eliminating airflow bypass at the 2U gap. It also tidies the front of a rack, visually separating equipment groups in floor-standing and wall mount enclosures. The same panel is offered in dark gray (ANSI61), light gray (RAL7035) and matte white (RAL9003) for color matching.
