Hammond PBPS19001GY2 1U Solid Steel Rack Blanking Panel, Dark Gray

The PBPS19001GY2 is a 1U solid steel blanking panel for standard 19 in EIA-compliant rack rails. It is used by data center operators, IT and AV integrators, telecom installers and facilities teams to cover a single unused rack unit, closing the airflow gap between installed equipment so conditioned supply air is not allowed to recirculate.

Construction is 14-gauge mild steel (0.072 in), finished in a smooth ANSI61 dark gray powder coat for a clean, professional appearance that matches common rack and cabinet colours. The powder coat finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, and the panel is TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America in an ISO 9001 certified facility.

The panel measures 1.75 in (44 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide across the mounting flange, with a panel face width of 18.32 in (465 mm) and a 1.25 in (32 mm) flange dimension per the drawing. It attaches with 4 mounting points using 4X 0.250 x 0.375 in slots, which accommodate standard rack rail hole patterns. Mounting hardware is not included and should be ordered separately.

Because the PBPS19001GY2 is a solid panel rather than a vented one, it supports proper front-to-rear cooling and hot aisle / cold aisle containment strategies in high-density rack environments, while also tidying the appearance of partially populated racks. Shipping weight is 0.64 lbs (0.29 kg), making it practical to keep a quantity on hand for build-outs and moves, adds and changes in both wall mount and floor-standing racks.
