Hammond PBFS19017BK 10U Flanged Steel Rack Blank Panel, Black

The PBFS19017BK is a 10U formed steel rack panel used to cover unused rack space in standard 19 in EIA-compliant rack rails. It is intended for data center, telecom and network installations where open rack space needs to be closed off to control airflow and keep equipment zones tidy. The panel is finished in RAL9005 matte black powder coat, with matching light gray, dark gray and matt white versions offered elsewhere in the PBFS Series.

Construction is 16-gauge mild steel (0.057 in) with formed, flanged edges. The flanged design adds rigidity to the panel face while keeping weight lower than a comparable flat steel panel, and the smooth powder coat finish gives a clean, professional appearance in the rack face. The powder coat is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant.

This size covers 10 rack units: panel height is 17.50 in (445 mm) and overall mounting width is 19.00 in (483 mm). The panel has 8 mounting points using 0.250 x 0.375 in slots, so it can be secured along both rails for a flat, stable fit across the taller opening. Shipping weight is 6 lbs (2.72 kg). Mounting hardware is not included and should be ordered to match your rack rails.

Installed in unused rack space, PBFS19017BK helps prevent hot and cold air from recirculating through open rack openings, supporting cooling performance and thermal management strategies in high-density racks. It suits both wall mount and floor-standing racks.
