The N1J14124 is a 14 x 12 x 4 inch Type 1 enclosure with a 12.25 x 10.25 inch inner panel, a taller layout than the 12 x 12 inch sizes at the same shallow depth. It works for indoor control boxes where extra vertical panel space is needed.
Construction is 16 gauge formed and spot welded steel. The formed steel cover is a full-swing door on butt hinges, held closed by a slotted quarter-turn latch, and the supplied inner panel is cut from 14 gauge steel. The enclosure and cover carry an ANSI 61 gray powder coat and the inner panel is finished in white powder coating. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud on the box.
