Hammond MHKD3 6" Padlocking Defeater Handle, 3-Point Over 60", Zinc

The MHKD3 is a 6" padlocking handle with defeater for a 3-point latch greater than 60" ("GT 60" on the part page). Constructed from zinc die-cast and rated NEMA 12, 4, it belongs to the MHK Series Type 12/4, 4X Handle Kits and is aimed at larger enclosure doors needing 3-point latching, a defeater and padlock security.

The zinc cast handle wears a textured powder coat black finish. A removable handle stop lets it operate clockwise or counter-clockwise, and the padlock "trigger" design supports security requirements. It maintains the NEMA rating of the enclosure.

For field installation, the handle can be used on Hammond 1418, 1422, UHD, HN4 and HWHK enclosures with a minimum enclosure height of 24" (600mm); it can optionally be installed at the factory by contacting Hammond.

The MHKD3 drawing shows an overall dimension of 80.41. It ships in a box at 5.9 lbs (2.68 kg), is REACH compliant and RoHS compliant, and carries UPC 623980609829 and UNSPSC 39121321. The same handle without defeater is MHK3, the less than 60" defeater version is MHKD2, and the stainless defeater version is MHKD3SS.
