The MHKD1SS is a 6" padlocking defeater handle for a 1-point latch in 316 stainless steel, rated NEMA 4X. It is the stainless defeater 1-point option in the MHK Series Type 12/4, 4X Handle Kits, suited to stainless enclosures where both a defeater and padlock security are specified.
The handle includes a removable handle stop for clockwise or counter-clockwise operation and a padlock "trigger" design for security requirements, and it maintains the NEMA rating of the enclosure.
For field installation, the handle can be used on Hammond 1418, 1422, UHD, HN4 and HWHK enclosures with a minimum enclosure height of 24" (600mm); it can optionally be installed at the factory by contacting Hammond.
