Hammond MHKD2 6" Padlocking Defeater Handle, 3-Point Under 60", Zinc

The MHKD2 is a 6" padlocking handle with defeater for a 3-point latch less than 60". Made from zinc die-cast and rated NEMA 12, 4, it is part of the MHK Series Type 12/4, 4X Handle Kits and is intended for enclosure doors that need 3-point latching together with a defeater and padlock provision.

The zinc cast handle has a textured powder coat black finish, a removable handle stop for clockwise or counter-clockwise operation, and a padlock "trigger" design for security requirements. It maintains the NEMA rating of the enclosure.

For field installation, the handle can be used on Hammond 1418, 1422, UHD, HN4 and HWHK enclosures with a minimum enclosure height of 24" (600mm); it can optionally be installed at the factory by contacting Hammond.

The part drawing shows an overall dimension of 45.16. Shipping weight is 3 lbs (1.36 kg), with box packaging. Its stainless counterpart is MHKD2SS (316 SS, 4X); the version without defeater is MHK2, and the greater than 60" defeater handle is MHKD3.
