Hammond MB655045 65x50x45mm Compact Polystyrene Enclosure

The MB655045 is the deeper of the two 65 x 50 mm MB Series enclosures, adding height for taller components on a compact footprint. It is a rugged instrument enclosure intended for mounting small printed circuit boards in hand-held, desktop or wall mount applications.

It is molded in polystyrene with a smooth light gray lid (RAL 7035) and a smooth dark gray bottom (RAL 7012). The front and rear panels are molded as part of the bottom unit. The lid's four cover screws thread into integrated brass inserts and are hidden in a recess in the base, which supports repeated assembly and disassembly.

Outside dimensions are 2.56 x 1.97 x 1.77 in (65 x 50 x 45 mm), and the internal space is 59 x 44 x 39 mm. The solid lid is rated IP40, and the polystyrene is rated UL94 HB.

The MB655045 comes boxed with the enclosure, lid, four cover screws and four P.C. board screws; the series lists M3 x 7 mm self-tapping screws for the internal standoffs. Recommended cover screw torque is 2.5 lbf-in (30 cN-m). Shipping weight is 0.12 lbs (0.05 kg), and the part is RoHS and REACH compliant.
