The M268-4 is a general purpose 7.6" x 1.6" rectangle handle made from heavy duty extruded aluminum in a clear matte anodized finish. Its 7.13 in (181 mm) hole spacing suits larger enclosure doors, rack and instrument panels, and equipment covers where a long, modern-style pull is needed. The series table lists it in clear only.
The handle is 1.58 in (40 mm) deep and 0.47 in (12 mm) wide. On the drawing, overall length is 193.81 mm [7.630 in], hole centers are 181.00 mm [7.126 in], the inside span between the legs is 168.00 mm [6.614 in] and there is 32.00 mm [1.260 in] of clearance under the grip.
Unlike the shorter M268 handles, the M268-4 drawing specifies two cheesehead slotted M5 x 12 screws, supplied with two washers. The legs are tapped M5x0.8-6H with a thread depth called out as 15.00 [0.561]. The handle is sold singly.
