Hammond M268-3 5.3 in Rectangle Aluminum Handle, Clear Matte

The M268-3 is a general purpose 5.3" x 1.6" rectangle-profile handle in heavy duty extruded aluminum with a clear matte anodized finish. It steps up in length from the 4 in M268-2, giving enclosure doors, instrument panels and equipment covers a longer, modern-style pull that fastens with metric M5-0.8 screws.

Mounting hole centers are 4.76 in (121 mm), shown as 121.00 mm [4.764 in] on the drawing. The handle is 1.58 in (40 mm) deep and 0.47 in (12 mm) wide. The drawing also gives an overall length of 133.81 mm [5.268 in], an inside span of 108.00 mm [4.252 in] between the legs and 32.00 mm [1.260 in] of clearance under the grip.

The legs are tapped M5x0.8-6H, with the thread depth called out as 15.00 [0.561]. Supplied hardware is two panhead M5 x 12 screws and two washers. The handle is sold singly.

The M268-3 ships in a box at 0.13 lbs (0.06 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant. A black matte anodized version with the same dimensions is M268-3BK. The profile shape is listed as rectangle in the series table, with a 12.00 mm [0.472 in] profile width on the drawing.
