The HWST16128S16 is a compact 316 stainless steel wallmount enclosure from the Waterfall series, sized 16 x 12 x 8 in (406 x 305 x 203 mm). Its 25° sloped top prevents water from resting on the enclosure and offers potential space for controls mounting, while the hinge design is easy to clean in hose-down environments. It is intended to enclose electrical and electronic equipment in harsh industrial settings.
The body is formed stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a formed lip to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. The door is sealed by a seamless poured-in place gasket and closes with 316 stainless steel quarter turn latches whose slot requires a tool to open. The 316 stainless steel hinges give 180 degree opening, are easily removed for modifications and are interchangeable. Door stiffeners are added where required. Cover and body share a natural stainless, smooth brushed finish.
Height is 16.00 in at the front (H1) rising to 19.70 in at the back (H2). The drawing shows a 9.44 x 13.47 in door opening, 9.21 in overall depth and 0.50 in mounting holes on a 10.50 x 14.50 in pattern. A hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included, and collar studs accept the optional 18P1309 inner panel (13.00 x 9.00 in).
Ratings: UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12; NSF/ANSI 169; compliance with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP 66 and IP69K. The HWST16128S16 is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships at 27 lbs (12.25 kg).
