The HWST16168S16 is a square-faced, 316 stainless steel wallmount enclosure measuring 16 x 16 x 8 in (406 x 406 x 203 mm), part of the Waterfall series for washdown environments. Its 25° sloped top sheds water and offers potential for controls mounting, and the hinge design is easy to clean when equipment is hosed down.
The enclosure is formed stainless with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a formed lip that excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in place gasket seals the door. 316 stainless steel quarter turn latches, which require a tool to open, secure the door, and 316 stainless steel hinges provide 180 degree opening, remove easily for modifications and are interchangeable. Door stiffeners are fitted where required, and the finish is natural stainless with a smooth brushed surface.
Front height (H1) is 16.00 in and back height (H2) is 19.70 in (500 mm). The drawing lists a 13.44 x 13.47 in door opening, 9.21 in overall depth and 0.50 in mounting holes on a 14.50 x 14.50 in pattern. The included hardware kit supplies panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall holes, and collar studs take the optional 18P1313 inner panel (13.00 x 13.00 in).
The HWST16168S16 is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12, meets NSF/ANSI 169 and complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP 66 and IP69K. It is REACH and RoHS compliant, ships at 31 lbs (14.06 kg), and has bonding and grounding studs installed.
