Hammond HWM2412U20BK 12U Swing-Out Wall Cabinet, Vented Door, Black

The HWM2412U20BK is a 12U enclosed wall-mount rack cabinet with a swing-out body and a vented front door, built for IT and telecom installations that need a secure 19-inch enclosure plus full rear access. It suits network closets, data communication rooms, and government, education and commercial IT environments where equipment must be locked away but still reachable from behind.

Construction is mild steel: a 14-gauge welded rear section with a 16-gauge center section and door, finished in RAL9005 black textured powder coat (GREENGUARD Gold, TSCA and RoHS compliant). The cabinet is UL2416 listed with a 350 lb (159 kg) load rating and is seismic rated to 200 lb (90.72 kg) dynamic load (Ip = 1.5) per IBC 2018, CBC 2019, NBC 2018, ASCE 7-16 and ASCE 7-10. Overall size is 27.75 in x 24.68 in x 25.7 in (705 mm x 627 mm x 653 mm) nominal, with the series ordering table listing a 25.18 in (640 mm) overall depth and a 20 in center section depth. Usable mounting space is 21.00 in (533 mm) high by 19.00 in (483 mm) wide by 22.85 in (580 mm) deep — the maximum equipment depth that lets the body section swing out unimpeded. Shipping weight is 106 lbs (48.08 kg).

HWM2412U20BK ships with one pair of adjustable 19-inch tapped 10-32 panel rails and a starter hardware pack with SCREW1032-50 screws. The body is reversible so swing direction can be changed on site, and a heavy-duty spring-hinge mechanism with concealed door hinges controls access. Multiple double knockouts top, bottom and both sides plus a rear opening support structured cable routing, and a fan knockout pattern accepts optional DNMF100AC115 or DNMF100AC230 fans. Power bar mounting is provided without using rack U space. The cabinet is TAA-compliant and made in Canada.
