Hammond HWF3042U36BK 42U Swing-Out Wall and Floor Cabinet, 30" Wide

The HWF3042U36BK is a 42U hybrid wall and floor mount swing-out rack cabinet for 19-inch equipment, built for IT and telecom installations where a wall-adjacent footprint must still carry heavy loads. It mounts to the wall while sitting on the floor on levelling feet, reducing wall load while maintaining stability. The cabinet ships without a door; optional solid, vented or window doors for 42U are available separately.

Construction is mild steel with a 14-gauge welded rear section and base and a 16-gauge swing-out section, finished in RAL9005 black textured powder coat. The swing-out section is caster supported with concealed hinges, a safety pin lock-out and two remote latches, giving full front and rear access for installation and servicing without removing equipment. Multiple conduit knockouts, cable lances and large rear openings support structured cable routing and mounting over electrical services, and dedicated bonding and grounding points are provided.

Overall size is 86.19 in x 30 in x 35 in (2,189 mm x 762 mm x 889 mm), with the series ordering table listing overall height as 86.32 in (2193 mm). Usable mounting space is 73.50 in high x 19.00 in wide x 33.50 in deep, with 42U of rack rails plus 6U of bonus rack space, including a 3U top section for fans, cable management or power distribution. One pair of adjustable tapped 10-32 rails is included and is field-replaceable with square hole rails (sold separately).

HWF3042U36BK is UL2416 listed (UL file E475597) with a 700 lb (317 kg) load rating and seismic rated to 400 lb (181.44 kg) dynamic load (Ip = 1.5) per IBC 2018, CBC 2019, NBC 2018, ASCE 7-16 and ASCE 7-10. It is cULus listed, TAA-compliant, RoHS and REACH compliant, and meets PCI DSS requirements with a door installed.
