Hammond HWF3048U36BK 48U Swing-Out Wall & Floor Cabinet, 30" Wide

The HWF3048U36BK is a 48U swing-out wall and floor mount rack cabinet, 30 in wide and 35 in deep, built for IT and telecom installations that need more load capacity than a wall-only enclosure can provide. It mounts to the wall while sitting on the floor on levelling feet, so wall loading is reduced while stability is maintained for heavy network, telecom and edge computing equipment. The door is not included and is ordered separately.

Construction is a 14-gauge welded rear section and base with a 16-gauge swing-out section in mild steel, finished in RAL9005 black textured powder coat. The cabinet is UL2416 listed to a 700 lb (317 kg) load rating (UL File # E475597) and seismic rated to 400 lb (181.44 kg) dynamic load (Ip = 1.5) per IBC 2018, CBC 2019, NBC 2018, ASCE 7-16 and ASCE 7-10. The powder coat finish is GREENGUARD, TSCA and RoHS compliant, and the cabinet is TAA-compliant and manufactured in North America.

Overall size is 96.68 in x 30 in x 35 in (2,456 mm x 762 mm x 889 mm), with 84.00 in (2134 mm) of usable mounting height, 19.00 in (483 mm) mounting width and 33.50 in (851 mm) mounting depth. The rack designation is 48U + 6U, giving bonus rack units for vertical accessory mounting. One pair of adjustable tapped 10-32 rails is supplied and can be field-replaced with square hole rails, sold separately.

The swing-out centre section rides on a caster with concealed hinges, a safety pin lock-out and two remote latches for full front and rear access without removing equipment. Multiple conduit knockouts, cable lances, a large rear opening and dedicated bonding and grounding points support structured cabling. With a door installed, HWF3048U36BK meets PCI DSS requirements.
