Hammond HW1310BKPL 13 x 10 in Chassis Bottom Panel, Satin Black

The Hammond HW1310BKPL is the optional satin black aluminum bottom panel for the 13 x 10 in HWCHAS Series real walnut chassis (HWCHAS1310AL and HWCHAS1310BK). It closes off the underside of the walnut frame for builders of tube and vintage-style audio and electronics projects.

The panel is aluminum, finished in black powder coat, and measures 11.75 in x 8.75 in x 0.08 in (298 mm x 222 mm x 2 mm). On the matching chassis drawing it is listed as the Satin Black Panel accessory, and the series notes that optional bottom panels are available in natural aluminum or with black powder coat; the alternate finish for this size is HW1310ALPL.

Installation uses the chassis hardware: the HWCHAS chassis mounts its hardware into inserts pressed into the wood to avoid wood damage, and the included feet hardware is of proper length to allow use of the optional bottom plate. Replacement 8-32 x 3/8 in self-tapping screws are sold in 25-packs as SC1441-25 (silver) and SC1441BK-25 (black). Screws should not be torqued past 4.43 lbf.in (50 cN.m).

HW1310BKPL ships in a box with a shipping weight of 0.75 lbs (0.34 kg) and is RoHS and REACH compliant. Please note that the HWCHAS product line will be discontinued on October 08, 2026, after which it will only be available while supplies last, with no returns after that date.
