Hammond HSIP228 2200 x 800 mm HME Side Mounting Inner Panel

The HSIP228 is a side mounting inner panel from the HMESIP series, sized for an HME modular freestanding cabinet 2200 mm high and 800 mm deep (86.61 x 31.50 in). It gives panel builders, OEM engineers and electrical contractors a mounting surface along the side of the deepest (800 mm) 2200 mm HME frame, and it is sold individually so you can fit one side or both.

The panel is formed from 14 gauge galvanized steel and supplied unpainted. Its overall size is 76.50 in (1943 mm) high by 26.57 in (675 mm) wide, with a 23 mm (0.9 in) return shown on the drawing. Shipping weight is 82 lbs (37.19 kg), and it ships in a box.

Installation is straightforward: the HSIP228 mounts directly to the cabinet frame and can be combined with depth grid straps at the top and bottom. It allows 19" mounting rails to be installed, including a center support, so the side of the enclosure can carry rail-mounted equipment. Because the panel is shorter than the 2200 mm cabinet it fits, the reduced height may allow cable pass through on ganged cabinets.
