The HSIK is the Secondary Interlock Kit from the HMEIK Series, listed on its part page as the Slave Interlock Kit. One kit is required for each secondary door that is to be interlocked with the main door in an HME modular enclosure system, making it the part panel builders multiply as a lineup grows.
The HSIK works together with the Main (Primary) Interlock Kit on the main door. According to Hammond's ordering guide, any additional cabinets added to a single-door or double-door main configuration require a Secondary Interlock Kit plus a Rod Connector Kit.
The kit is clear zinc plated and maintains UL/CSA Type 12 approvals, so interlocking additional doors does not give up the enclosure's Type 12 rating.
