The HP400PCGY is the 4" conduit size of the HPN4PC polycarbonate hole plug, made to seal plugged holes from 4.50 in (114 mm) to 4.75 in (121 mm) in diameter; the trade-size reference is 4" conduit at 4.641 in. The ANSI 61 Gray finish suits gray industrial enclosures, making it a practical part for electrical contractors and panel builders closing large, unused conduit entries.
The plug and its nut are polycarbonate, and a closed cell EPDM/neoprene blend gasket seals the joint against dust, oil and water. At 5.12 in (130 mm), its external diameter overlaps the hole all round. The part drawing lists a .24 in (5.97 mm) head, a .75 in (19.05 mm) body, and an installed depth of .24 in + .75 in + the panel wall thickness.
Wall thickness from 0.06 in (2 mm) to 0.25 in (6 mm) is supported, which the series equates to 16 gauge through 1/4". The self centering, anti-rotational design is built for fast, one-person installation with no tools required.
The series is a UR/cUR recognized component for use with UL and CSA listed Type 1, 3, 3R, 4 and 4X enclosures, and HP400PCGY is REACH and RoHS compliant. Its RAL7035 Light Gray counterpart is HP400PCLG.
