Hammond HP300PCGY 3" Conduit Type 4X Polycarbonate Hole Plug, Gray

The HP300PCGY is a non-metallic hole plug for closing off a 3" conduit opening that is no longer needed in an electrical enclosure. It is sized for plugged holes from 3.50 in (89 mm) to 3.75 in (95 mm) in diameter, the trade-size reference being a 3" conduit hole of 3.594 in, and is finished in ANSI 61 Gray to suit gray-painted control panels and junction boxes. Electricians, panel builders and maintenance crews use it when equipment is relocated or a knockout was punched and never used.

Both the plug and its retaining nut are molded polycarbonate, and a closed cell EPDM/neoprene blend gasket seals the plug against the panel so the opening is protected against dust, oil and water. The plug face has an external diameter of 4.12 in (105 mm), covering the full hole range with margin. The drawing shows a .24 in (5.97 mm) head and a .75 in (19.05 mm) body length.

It fits enclosure walls from 0.06 in (2 mm) to 0.25 in (6 mm) thick, which the HPN4PC series describes as 16 gauge to 1/4". The self centering, anti-rotational design is meant for fast one-person installation with no tools required.
