The Hammond HP22SS is a 304 stainless steel hole plug for unused 22mm pushbutton holes, sized for a maximum hole diameter of 0.88 in (22 mm) with a 1.22 in (31 mm) plug diameter. It is designed to seal unused openings against dust, oil and water, making it a practical fix for panel builders, electricians and maintenance crews when an enclosure is modified, a device is removed or a knockout is left open.
The plug is finished in brushed natural 304 stainless steel and uses an oil resistant gasket. It is secured with a 10-24 x 0.55" threaded stud and plated wing nut. The HP Series stainless steel plugs are UR & cUR recognized components for Type 1, 3, 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 enclosures.
The series sheet gives the mini pushbutton size as 22.5mm (standard pushbutton size is 30.5mm), and HP22SS is the 22mm option in the range. The part drawing shows an overall plug diameter of 1.23 in, with further drawing dimensions of 0.23 in and 0.79 in. Shipping weight is 0.05 lbs (0.02 kg).
The stainless hole plug line is available in 8 sizes. If you need this size in another finish, the same hole is covered by steel versions HP22 (ANSI 61 gray) and HP22LG (RAL7035 light gray). HP22SS is REACH and RoHS compliant and is identified by UPC 623980410838 and UNSPSC 39121302.
