The Hammond HP22 is a steel hole plug in ANSI 61 gray for unused 22mm mini pushbutton holes, sized for a maximum hole diameter of 0.88 in (22 mm) with a 1.22 in (31 mm) plug diameter. It is designed to seal unused openings against dust, oil and water, and is used by panel builders, electricians and maintenance crews to close holes left after a device is removed or a layout changes.
The painted steel plug is finished in ANSI 61 gray, and uses an oil resistant gasket. It is secured with a 10-24 x 0.55" threaded stud and plated wing nut. HP Series steel plugs are UR & cUR recognized components for Type 1, 3, 3R, 4, 12 and 13 enclosures.
The series sheet gives the mini pushbutton size as 22.5mm (standard pushbutton size is 30.5mm), and HP22 is the 22mm option in the range. The part drawing shows an overall plug diameter of 1.23 in, with further drawing dimensions of 0.23 in and 0.79 in. Shipping weight is 0.05 lbs (0.02 kg).
The steel hole plug line is available in 12 sizes. If you need this size in another finish, the same hole is covered by HP22LG in RAL7035 light gray, or HP22SS in 304 stainless steel. HP22 is REACH and RoHS compliant and is identified by UPC 623980411002 and UNSPSC 39121302.
