Hammond HN4FS727218 72x72x18 Type 4 Two-Door Freestanding Enclosure

At 18 in deep, the HN4FS727218 is the shallowest 72 x 72 in single-access unit in the HN4 FSTD line, giving a full 6 ft by 6 ft door face for large control panels while keeping the floor footprint slim. Hammond Manufacturing designs this Type 4 two-door freestanding enclosure to house electrical, electronic, hydraulic or pneumatic controls and instruments, and to protect equipment where it may be hosed down or otherwise be very wet. It suits panel builders, OEM engineers and plant electrical teams specifying floor-standing control enclosures.

The HN4FS727218 measures 72 in x 72 in x 18 in (1,829 mm x 1,829 mm x 457 mm). The part drawing shows two 34.00 in doors, each 62.53 in tall, a door opening height of 62.53 in, and two 32.55 in openings in the bottom view. The center post is removable for easy installation of the inner panel; the matching optional full panel is 72ZYFW.

Construction is formed 12 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes. Heavy duty stainless steel lifting eyebolts come with reinforcing support angles, the doors hang on heavy gauge continuous hinges and close with a 3-pt padlocking handle against a seamless poured-in place gasket. A grounding stud is provided in the enclosure and a bonding stud on the door. The cover and enclosure are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

The series is rated UL 508A Type 3R, 4 and 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. It is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships on a skid at 560 lbs (254.01 kg).
