Hammond HFMD1485 1400x800x500 mm Type 12 Modular Disconnect Enclosure

The HFMD1485 is a Type 12 mild steel modular freestanding disconnect enclosure, 1400 mm high, 800 mm wide and 500 mm deep (55.12 x 31.5 x 19.69 in). It gives panel builders and electrical contractors a rugged housing for flange mount disconnect and circuit breaker requirements, with a hinged flange door carrying a multi-vendor cutout.

The flange accommodates popular disconnect hardware, including ABB disconnect switches up to 200 amp and operators for ABB breakers up to 800 amp, Allen Bradley 1494V variable depth disconnects up to 200 amp, C-H Westinghouse C361 switches up to 200 amp and C371 breakers up to 600 amp, GE Type STDA operators, ITE Siemens Max-Flex cable operators, and Square D class 9422 mechanisms. Disconnect to door handle activation hardware is part of the standard configuration.

Construction is formed 14 gauge steel on a fully welded frame with a 25 mm hole pattern for component and accessory mounting. The standard configuration includes a removable solid top panel, four reinforced lifting eyebolts, a removable bottom panel with gland plates, a solid front door with door frame, a removable rear cover panel and an unpainted galvanized 12 gauge steel inner mounting panel measuring 1296 x 699 mm (51.02 x 27.52 in). A foam gasket on all openings provides a dust-tight seal, the door opens 135° and can be interchanged, removed or reversed, and bonding and grounding studs are provided for all doors and panels. The steel is phosphatized and finished in RAL 7035 light gray textured powder coat.

The modular design lets units be joined with an optional frame joining kit, and HME/HMET Series enclosures can serve as secondary units. The series is listed to UL 508A Type 12 and CSA Type 12 and complies with NEMA Type 12 and IEC 60529 IP54 when appropriate components are used. The HFMD1485 is REACH and RoHS compliant and ships boxed at 220 lbs (99.79 kg).
