Key Features

  • 105/125 W heat output at 220/240 V, 50/60 Hz
  • 20 CFM fan-forced airflow
  • Built-in adjustable thermostat, -18 C to +38 C (0 F to +100 F)
  • Fan Auto/On switch with pilot light for Heat On indication
  • Automatic reset temperature limit switch for overheat or fan failure
  • Aluminum alloy outer casing, terminal block connection
  • 5.5" x 4.0" x 5.3" overall (H x W x D)
  • UL Recognized UL 508A, CSA C22.2 No. 88; UL File E331157

The FLHTF125A230 is a fan-forced enclosure heater with a built-in thermostat, rated 105/125 W (at 220/240 V) on 220/240 V, 50/60 Hz and moving 20 CFM. It is designed to prevent condensation or maintain a minimum temperature inside a control panel or metal enclosure, protecting critical components from freezing and condensation. It is not intended as a comfort or space heater.

The housing measures 5.5" x 4.0" x 5.3" (H x W x D) in the ordering table, with 139.07 mm [5.475 in] x 101.60 mm [4.000 in] x 133.86 mm [5.270 in] shown on the part drawing. The drawing lists UL Recognized to UL 508A and CSA Standard C22.2 No. 88 approvals, under UL File E331157.

The outer casing is aluminum alloy. The adjustable thermostat covers -18 C to +38 C (0 F to +100 F), and a Fan Auto/On switch with pilot light shows when heat is on. In FAN mode the fan runs continuously for more uniform temperature distribution and heat is still provided below the set point; in AUTO mode the fan cycles on only when the heating element is energized. An automatic reset temperature limit switch breaks power to the element on fan failure or overheat.

Mount the FLHTF125A230 vertically inside a metal enclosure on a metal surface, terminal block at the bottom and discharge vents at the top, using four #10 metal screws, as low and central as possible. Keep heat-sensitive components clear of the vents by the FLHTF125 clearances (4in / 100mm X, 1in / 25mm Y). Wiring is by qualified personnel with wire rated at least 90°C; there is no OFF position, so disconnect supply power to shut it down.

Ideal For

  • Preventing condensation in control panels
  • Maintaining minimum temperature in metal enclosures
  • Freeze protection for critical enclosure components
  • Industrial control panel heating
