The FDS2424S16 is a fold down shelf that gives technicians a temporary work surface when they service or program switchgear inside an enclosure. It is the largest size in the Fold Down Shelf family, with a 24.00 x 24.00 in (610 x 610 mm) work surface, and the only finish at this size made from 316 stainless steel.
The shelf supports up to 100 lbs, enough for the laptops, programming devices and test equipment that are set down while a panel is open. When the work is done it folds out of the way. The manufacturer drawing shows the shelf folding through 90°.
Installation is simple. The shelf mounts with bolts and sealing washers through the enclosure door or side, and it maintains the enclosure's UL, CSA and NEMA ratings. The drawing shows four Ø 0.28 in mounting holes. Overall size is listed as 1 in x 24 in x 24 in (25 mm x 610 mm x 610 mm) H x W x D.
