Hammond EN4SD423612SSR 42x36x12-Inch Quarter-Turn 304 Stainless Enclosure

The EN4SD423612SSR is a 42 in x 36 in x 12 in (1,067 mm x 914 mm x 305 mm) Eclipse Series enclosure in 304 stainless steel for wallmount applications. The manufacturer describes it as an N4X Eclipse enclosure with extra quarter turns; the door uses Type A stainless steel slotted quarter turns. It is intended for enclosing electrical and electronic equipment in harsh, industrial environments.

Construction is formed 14 gauge stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a formed lip to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. The door seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket and hangs on hidden hinges with stainless steel hinge pins. It can be removed for modifications, is aligned by the door alignment guide provided on 36 in wide enclosures, and can be reversed with adapter kit EHLLSAK. Cover and body are natural brushed stainless steel.

According to the drawing, the door opening is 34.34 in x 40.28 in, the door is 35.97 in x 41.97 in, and 30.65 in x 37.88 in of clear space is available on the door. Wall mounting uses 0.50 in holes on 34.50 in x 40.50 in centres, and the included hardware kit supplies panel mounting nuts and sealing washers. Collar studs accept the optional EP4236 inner panel (40.20 in x 34.20 in), which is required at widths over 24 in to maintain UL/CSA.

The EN4SD423612SSR holds UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 ratings and complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP66. It is RoHS and REACH compliant and ships in a box at 121 lbs (54.88 kg). The 316 version is EN4SD423612S16R.
