Hammond EN4SD423612S16R 42x36x12-Inch Quarter-Turn 316 Stainless Enclosure

The EN4SD423612S16R is a 316 stainless steel Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure measuring 42 in x 36 in x 12 in (1,067 mm x 914 mm x 305 mm). The 12 in depth leaves room for deeper components, and the 316 grade suits specifications that call for it over 304. It is built to enclose electrical and electronic equipment and protect it against harsh, industrial environments.

The enclosure is formed from 14 gauge stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth, plus a formed lip that keeps flowing liquids and contaminants out of the opening. The hinged door latches with Type A stainless steel slotted quarter turns and seals on a seamless poured-in place gasket; hidden hinges carry stainless steel hinge pins. Doors are removable and interchangeable, a door alignment guide is supplied at this 36 in width, and adapter kit EHLLSAK allows the door swing to be reversed. Finish is natural stainless steel, smooth and brushed.

Drawing dimensions include a 34.34 in x 40.28 in door opening, a 35.97 in x 41.97 in door and 30.65 in x 40.00 in of clear space available on the door. The 0.50 in wall mounting holes are spaced 34.50 in x 40.50 in, and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included. The optional EP4236 inner panel (40.20 in x 34.20 in) mounts on collar studs and is needed at this width to maintain UL/CSA.

The EN4SD423612S16R is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001) and complies with NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IP66. It ships boxed at 121 lbs (54.88 kg); EN4SD423612SSR is the 304 version.
