Hammond EN4SD423012LG 42x30x12 in Type 4 Wallmount Enclosure, Light Gray

Measuring 42 in tall by 30 in wide by 12 in deep, the EN4SD423012LG is a mild steel Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure with a single hinged door. It is rated NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12 and IP66, and is aimed at integrators, electricians and OEM teams enclosing electrical or electronic equipment in demanding industrial locations.

The body is formed from 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth, and a formed lip helps exclude flowing liquids and contaminants. A seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the door, which hangs on hidden 304 stainless steel hinges with stainless steel pins. The enclosure is phosphatized and powder coated inside and out in RAL 7035 textured light gray; the same size in ANSI 61 gray is EN4SD423012GY.

This size uses Type B latching, a handle with 3-point latching; the multi-point handle (key lockable) is zinc diecast with a black epoxy finish. The door opening measures 28.31 x 40.31 in, and the drawing shows 24.64 x 40.00 in of clear space available on the door. Doors can be removed for modification, and door swing can be reversed by ordering adapter kit EHLLSAK. Shipping weight is 112 lbs (50.80 kg).

Collar studs are provided for mounting an inner panel; the optional EP4230 panel measures 40.20 in (1021 mm) high by 28.20 in (716 mm) wide. A hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included, along with a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud in the enclosure. The EN4SD423012LG is UL 508A (File E65324) and CSA (LR21001) listed for Type 3R, 4 and 12; a mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements, and because this enclosure is wider than 24 in, an inner panel is required to maintain UL/CSA. It is REACH and RoHS compliant.
