Hammond EN4SD423012GY 42x30x12 in Type 4 Wallmount Enclosure, ANSI 61 Gray

Panel builders and electrical contractors who need a sealed wall-hung cabinet can specify the EN4SD423012GY: a 42 x 30 x 12 in (1,067 mm x 762 mm x 305 mm) Eclipse Series single-door wallmount enclosure in mild steel. It carries NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12 ratings and is intended to enclose electrical and electronic equipment exposed to harsh industrial conditions.

Construction is 14 gauge formed steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth. A formed lip on the body keeps flowing liquids and contaminants out, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket completes the seal. Hinges are 304 stainless steel with stainless steel pins. Inside and out, the enclosure is phosphatized and finished in a recoatable ANSI 61 smooth gray powder coat; order EN4SD423012LG for the RAL 7035 light gray version.

This size uses Type B latching, a handle with 3-point latching; the multi-point handle (key lockable) is zinc diecast with a black epoxy finish. The door opening measures 28.31 x 40.31 in, and the drawing shows 24.65 x 40.00 in of clear space available on the door. Doors can be removed for modification, and door swing can be reversed by ordering adapter kit EHLLSAK. Shipping weight is 112 lbs (50.80 kg).

Collar studs are provided for mounting an inner panel; the optional EP4230 panel measures 40.20 in (1021 mm) high by 28.20 in (716 mm) wide and is not part of this enclosure (listed as less panel). A hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included, along with a bonding stud on the door and a grounding stud in the enclosure. The EN4SD423012GY is UL 508A (File E65324) and CSA (LR21001) listed for Type 3R, 4 and 12; a mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements, and because this enclosure is wider than 24 in, an inner panel is required to maintain UL/CSA. It is REACH and RoHS compliant.
