Hammond EN4SD30248SS 30x24x8 in 304 Stainless NEMA 4X Wall Enclosure

The EN4SD30248SS is a single-door Eclipse Series wallmount enclosure in 304 stainless steel, sized 30 in high x 24 in wide x 8 in deep (762 x 610 x 203 mm). It protects electrical and electronic equipment in harsh, industrial environments and suits panel shops and integrators who want a mid-size Type 4X box for a wall.

It is built from formed 14 gauge stainless steel with continuously welded seams ground smooth and finished in natural brushed stainless. A formed lip on the enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and the seamless poured-in place gasket seals the door. The door uses hidden hinges, stainless steel hinge pins and Type A stainless steel slotted quarter turns; it is removable, interchangeable and can have its swing reversed with adapter kit EHLLSAK.

The part drawing gives a door opening of 22.49 in x 28.49 in (W x H), clear space available on the door of 22.00 in x 28.00 in, and an inside depth of 8.70 in. Ø 0.50 in wall mounting holes are sealed with the included hardware kit of panel mounting nuts and sealing washers.

No panel is supplied; the optional EP3024 inner panel (28.20 in x 22.20 in) attaches to collar studs. Certifications include UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001), with compliance to NEMA 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IEC 60529 IP 66. A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. Shipping weight is 60 lbs (27.22 kg); the 316 version is EN4SD30248S16.
