Hammond EN4SD24308GY 24x30x8 in Type 4 Steel Wall Enclosure, ANSI 61 Gray

The EN4SD24308GY is an Eclipse Series Type 4 mild steel wallmount enclosure measuring 24 in x 30 in x 8 in (610 mm x 762 mm x 203 mm), finished in ANSI 61 smooth gray. It is designed to enclose electrical and electronic equipment and protect it against harsh, industrial environments in wallmount applications. A landscape 24 x 30 in face, 8 in depth and 14 gauge steel give a wide face with a 22.20 x 28.20 in inner panel.

The body is formed 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth, a formed lip to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket. The single hinged door uses Type A latching with slotted quarter turns, hidden 304 stainless steel hinges and stainless steel hinge pins. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and powder coated inside and out with a recoatable ANSI 61 smooth gray finish.

Drawing dimensions for this size (W x H) include a 29.97 x 23.97 in door, a 28.48 x 22.48 in door opening and a 28.00 x 22.00 in clear space available on the door. Wall mounting holes are 0.50 in diameter on 28.50 x 22.50 in centres (W x H), and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included. Collar studs are provided for the optional EP2430 inner panel (22.20 in (564 mm) x 28.20 in (716 mm)). Shipping weight is 56 lbs (25.40 kg).

The series is rated UL 508A Type 3R, 4 and 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12 and IEC 60529 IP66 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001). A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. Because this enclosure is wider than 24 in (600 mm), an inner panel is required to maintain UL/CSA. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud is installed in the enclosure. The EN4SD24308GY is REACH and RoHS compliant; the same size in RAL 7035 light gray is EN4SD24308LG.
