Hammond EN4SD24248WSS 24x24x8 in Square Window Door Stainless Enclosure

The EN4SD24248WSS is a square 24 x 24 in Eclipse window door enclosure, 8 in deep. It encloses electrical or electronic equipment in wallmount applications where viewing of component operation is necessary while maintaining protection ratings, and at this size steps up to heavier 14 gauge stainless construction.

The enclosure is formed 14 gauge 304 stainless steel, the gauge the series uses for 24 x 24 in and larger sizes, with continuously welded seams ground smooth and a natural stainless smooth brushed finish. A full view UV resistant polycarbonate window provides maximum viewing area of the inner panel. A formed lip excludes flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in place gasket seals the door.

The door is held by quarter turn latches requiring a tool; all window door latch types are quarter turns. Stainless steel hinges, hinge pins and quarter turns are used, and the door is removable for modifications and interchangeable. The drawing shows a 22.49 x 22.49 in door opening and a 23.97 in wide door. The optional EP2424 inner panel measures 22.20 x 22.20 in and mounts on collar studs.

Wall mounting holes are 0.50 in diameter on 22.50 x 22.50 in centres, and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers is included. Bonding and grounding studs are provided. The EN4SD24248WSS is UL 508A and CSA Type 3R, 4, 4X and 12 rated, complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4, 4X, 12 and 13 and IP66, and ships boxed at 43 lbs (19.50 kg).
