Hammond EN4SD24248LG 24x24x8 in Type 4 Steel Wall Enclosure, Light Gray

The EN4SD24248LG is an Eclipse Series Type 4 mild steel wallmount enclosure measuring 24 in x 24 in x 8 in (610 mm x 610 mm x 203 mm), finished in RAL 7035 textured light gray. It is designed to enclose electrical and electronic equipment and protect it against harsh, industrial environments in wallmount applications. The square 24 x 24 x 8 in body uses 14 gauge steel (the series gauge for 24 x 24 in and larger) and accepts a 22.20 x 22.20 in inner panel.

The body is formed 14 gauge steel with smooth, continuously welded seams ground smooth, a formed lip to exclude flowing liquids and contaminants, and a seamless poured-in-place gasket. The single hinged door uses Type A latching with slotted quarter turns, hidden 304 stainless steel hinges and stainless steel hinge pins. Cover and enclosure are phosphatized and powder coated inside and out with a recoatable RAL 7035 textured light gray finish.

Drawing dimensions for this size (W x H) include a 23.97 x 23.97 in door, a 22.49 x 22.49 in door opening and a 22.00 x 22.00 in clear space available on the door. Wall mounting holes are 0.50 in diameter on 22.50 x 22.50 in centres (W x H), and a hardware kit with panel mounting nuts and sealing washers for the wall mounting holes is included. Collar studs are provided for the optional EP2424 inner panel (22.20 in (564 mm) x 22.20 in (564 mm)). Shipping weight is 49 lbs (22.23 kg).

The series is rated UL 508A Type 3R, 4 and 12 and CSA Type 3R, 4 and 12, and complies with NEMA Type 3R, 4 and 12 and IEC 60529 IP66 (UL File E65324, CSA LR21001). A mounting foot kit is required to maintain UL/CSA external mounting requirements. A bonding stud is provided on the door and a grounding stud is installed in the enclosure. The EN4SD24248LG is REACH and RoHS compliant; the same size in ANSI 61 gray is EN4SD24248GY.
