Hammond EJ866AL 8x6x6 In Type 4X Aluminum Quarter-Turn Junction Box

The EJ866AL is an 8 x 6 x 6 in (203 x 152 x 152 mm) Eclipse Junior Type 4X aluminum junction box, the 6 in deep version of the 8 x 6 size, with a hinged cover, quarter turn latches and a removable galvanized inner panel. The depth suits taller components in hose-down or corrosive areas.

The body is 0.08 in Type 5052 H-32 aluminum with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes; a formed lip on the enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. The continuously hinged cover uses an aluminum hinge and opens 180 degrees; its quarter turn latches are formed from 316 stainless steel and need a tool to open. A seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the cover, and welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. Cover and enclosure are natural unfinished aluminum, with a bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud on the enclosure, and grounding hardware provided.
