Hammond EJ664AL 6x6x4 In Type 4X Aluminum Quarter-Turn Junction Box

The EJ664AL is a square 6 x 6 x 4 in (152 x 152 x 102 mm) Eclipse Junior Type 4X aluminum junction box with a 180 degree continuously hinged cover, quarter turn latches and a removable galvanized inner panel. It gives more mounting width than the 6 x 4 models for splices and terminals in washdown or corrosive locations.

The body is 0.08 in Type 5052 H-32 aluminum with smooth, continuously welded seams and no knockouts, cutouts or holes; a formed lip on the enclosure excludes flowing liquids and contaminants. The continuously hinged cover uses an aluminum hinge and opens 180 degrees; its quarter turn latches are formed from 316 stainless steel and need a tool to open. A seamless poured-in-place gasket seals the cover, and welded brackets provide for enclosure mounting. Cover and enclosure are natural unfinished aluminum, with a bonding stud on the door, a grounding stud on the enclosure, and grounding hardware provided. The removable 14 gauge inner panel is unpainted galvanized steel and mounts on tapped studs, with panel mounting hardware provided.

The EJ664AL is 6 in x 6 in x 4 in (152 mm x 152 mm x 102 mm) (H x W x D). Its removable galvanized inner panel measures 4.88 x 4.88 in (124 x 124 mm). For layout, the manufacturer drawing shows an overall height of 7.50 in including the mounting brackets and an overall depth of 4.62 in, a 5.24 x 5.24 in cover opening and 3.90 in of usable depth. Mounting holes are 0.31 in diameter, and the shipping weight is 3 lbs (1.36 kg).
