The Hammond DSTOPKHD is the heavy duty version of the Hammond Door Stop Kit. It is designed for use with freestanding and floormount enclosures, holding the door open in a fixed position as required and preventing the door swing that can occur in field maintenance situations.
It is manufactured in 10 gauge 316 stainless steel. The kit can also be used on certain heavy duty wallmount series - 1418, 1422, HN4WM or HWHK - providing the specific size does not have door stiffeners that would interfere. The part drawing shows an overall length of 9.00 in.
The DSTOPKHD is designed for bottom of door installation only, and it is not compatible with enclosures that have quarter turns located at the bottom of the doors. It is also not compatible on Eclipse enclosures with swing panel or swing frame accessories installed. A minimum enclosure width of 20 in is required for a single door and 48 in for a two-door enclosure.
When installed correctly using the hardware and directions provided, the kit maintains NEMA 4X, 4, 3R and 12 ratings. Shipping weight is 2.2 lbs (1.00 kg), and it is listed as REACH and RoHS compliant.
