The Hammond DSTOPK is the standard version of the Hammond Door Stop Kit, listed as a Universal Door Stop Kit. It holds an enclosure door open in a fixed position as required and prevents the door swing that can occur during field maintenance, which makes it useful for electricians and maintenance crews working inside enclosures.
The standard kit is ideal for most wallmount enclosure applications. It is manufactured in 12 gauge zinc plated steel and is suitable for top and/or bottom installation. The part drawing shows an overall length of 9.02 in and a height of 2.52 in.
A minimum enclosure width of 20 in is required for a single door, and 48 in for a two-door enclosure. When installed correctly using the hardware and directions provided, the door stop kit maintains NEMA 4X, 4, 3R and 12 ratings. Note that the kits are not compatible on Eclipse enclosures with swing panel or swing frame accessories installed.
