Hammond CST6100 72x8x5 Empty Splitter Trough, Type 1 Steel

CST6100 is the longest 8 in wide empty trough in the CST Series, measuring 72 x 8 x 5 in and shipped less blocks; on the ordering table it shares its body with the 125/120 A (CU/AL) 3- and 4-wire models. It is intended for electricians, electrical contractors and facilities teams distributing a service to multiple loads in indoor locations.

Because CST6100 ships without splitter blocks, it gives the enclosure only; the ordering table lists splitter block reference CSBL125T for this size, and the CST Series lists splitter blocks and grounding kits as accessories. The same body is offered with factory-installed blocks as CST6103 (3 wire) and CST6104 (4 wire), rated 125/120 A CU/AL.

The trough is formed and spot welded from 14 gauge mild steel and measures 72 in high, 8 in wide and 5 in deep (1,829 mm x 203 mm x 127 mm). A series of knockouts is provided on each side, with 0.88, 1.13, 1.38 and 1.75 in diameters shown on the part drawing, and the hinged door is secured with a screw and fitted with a padlocking hasp. Cover and enclosure are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

The CST Series is CSA Certified and complies with IEC 60529, IP20 for Type 1 indoor use. CST6100 ships boxed at 37 lbs (16.78 kg), and the part is listed as RoHS and REACH compliant.
