Hammond CST5603 600A 3-Wire Splitter Trough, 60x10x6 Type 1

CST5603 is a 600 A, 3-wire splitter trough in a 60 x 10 x 6 in Type 1 steel housing, distributing service at the series' 600 A maximum. It is intended for electricians, electrical contractors and facilities teams distributing a service to multiple loads in indoor locations.

The splitter block is factory installed and carries a 600 A copper / 600 A aluminum rating (CU/AL) per the ordering table, with block reference CSBL600. The series is designed for distribution of up to 600 A (max) service at 600 V max using 3 or 4 wires, with 75 °C conductor ampacity permitted. The 4-wire version of this size is CST5604, and no less-blocks version is listed for this size.

The trough is formed and spot welded from 14 gauge mild steel and measures 60 in high, 10 in wide and 6 in deep (1,524 mm x 254 mm x 152 mm). The drawing shows a front opening of 58.75 x 9.61 in. A series of knockouts is provided on each side, with 0.88, 1.13 and 1.38 in diameters shown on the part drawing, and the hinged door is secured with a screw and fitted with a padlocking hasp. Cover and enclosure are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

The CST Series is CSA Certified and complies with IEC 60529, IP20 for Type 1 indoor use. CST5603 ships boxed at 59 lbs (26.76 kg), and the part is listed as RoHS and REACH compliant.
