Hammond CST5200 60x8x5 Empty Splitter Trough, Type 1 Steel

CST5200 gives electricians a 60 in long, 8 in wide, 5 in deep Type 1 splitter trough with no blocks installed, sized in the ordering table alongside the 225 A (CU/AL) versions of the same body. It is intended for electricians, electrical contractors and facilities teams distributing a service to multiple loads in indoor locations.

Because CST5200 ships without splitter blocks, it gives the enclosure only; the ordering table lists splitter block reference CSBL225 for this size, and the CST Series lists splitter blocks and grounding kits as accessories. The same body is offered with factory-installed blocks as CST5203 (3 wire) and CST5204 (4 wire), rated 225/225 A CU/AL.

The trough is formed and spot welded from 14 gauge mild steel and measures 60 in high, 8 in wide and 5 in deep (1,524 mm x 203 mm x 127 mm). A series of knockouts is provided on each side, with 0.88, 1.13, 1.38, 2.50 and 3.00 in diameters shown on the part drawing, and the hinged door is secured with a screw and fitted with a padlocking hasp. Cover and enclosure are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

The CST Series is CSA Certified and complies with IEC 60529, IP20 for Type 1 indoor use. CST5200 ships boxed at 31 lbs (14.06 kg), and the part is listed as RoHS and REACH compliant.
