Hammond CST5204 225A 4-Wire Splitter Trough, 60x8x5 Type 1

The CST5204 combines a 60 in long, 8 in wide, 5 in deep Type 1 trough with a 225 A 4-wire splitter block, for 4-wire service distribution. It is intended for electricians, electrical contractors and facilities teams distributing a service to multiple loads in indoor locations.

The splitter block is factory installed and carries a 225 A copper / 225 A aluminum rating (CU/AL) per the ordering table, with block reference CSBL225. The series is designed for distribution of up to 600 A (max) service at 600 V max using 3 or 4 wires, with 75 °C conductor ampacity permitted. The 3-wire version of this size is CST5203, and an empty version is CST5200.

The trough is formed and spot welded from 14 gauge mild steel and measures 60 in high, 8 in wide and 5 in deep (1,524 mm x 203 mm x 127 mm). The drawing shows a front opening of 58.75 x 7.61 in. A series of knockouts is provided on each side, with 0.88, 1.13, 1.38, 2.50 and 3.00 in diameters shown on the part drawing, and the hinged door is secured with a screw and fitted with a padlocking hasp. Cover and enclosure are finished in recoatable smooth ANSI 61 gray powder coating.

The CST Series is CSA Certified and complies with IEC 60529, IP20 for Type 1 indoor use. CST5204 ships boxed at 34 lbs (15.42 kg), and the part is listed as RoHS and REACH compliant.
